This is a carnival glass covered compote in the popular Harvest Grape pattern produced by Indiana Glass Company in the mid 20th century. Carnival glass was mass-produced from about 1908 into the 1970s and became widely collected for its iridescent finish that mimics much older and more expensive Tiffany glass. Indiana Glass revived classic patterns and produced affordable decorative tableware and compotes like this one for wedding and gift markets.
